About

About Sammi Montag, RD, CDCES

Hi, my name is Sammi Montag. I am a San Diego Dietitian specializing in eating disorders, positive body image development, weight neutral diabetes care, PCOS, addiction, sports nutrition and health-focused behavior change. I earned my Bachelor of Science in dietetics from Point Loma Nazarene University and went on to complete a yearlong dietetic internship at UCSD Medical Center before taking the registration exam to become a dietitian. I am passionate about helping people find their fire towards personalized health goals and coming along side them to provide evidenced-based nutrition care. I take a health focused (rather than weight focused) approach with emphasis on normalized eating and behavior change. My nutrition philosophy incorporates an “all foods fit” mentality.

I am a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned provider.

I have gained significant experience and enjoy working with pediatric, adolescent, adult clients and their families. I gladly invite family members and support systems into the nutrition therapy process when needed to contribute support and/or structure to meeting your individual nutrition goals.

I am originally from Gilbert, Arizona but love being in sunny San Diego. I love spending time outdoors, yoga, reading, and tap dancing.
